Is it possible to restore a 8.1 (single/no replica) virtual appliance to a brand new 8.4 virtual appliance. Is there any documentation on this? Also would the agents continue to work?
You will need to upgrade the existing environment to 8.4 to be able to restore the backup file as an 8.1 backup cannot be restored into an 8.4 deployment.
