RSA Auth Agents: Windows Log on attempt got failed
Hello,
I have an issue to get helps.
On 2016 Server, we installed RSA Authentication Agent 7.4.0.40, and set challenge users except a test group.
I am using Remote Desktop Connection Manager to access to the Server Remotely for testing.
After the challenge setup, got log off from the admin account in the test group.
When attempt log back in with my test account, RSA Token authentication got passed (it took up to 30 seconds long -slower than the other working servers (2016, 2008 R2).
After entered Windows passcode to log in process continue, it took almost 45 to 60 seconds long and suddenly the session is closed without any errors before loading the Desktop.
Would you please help me to find out what would be wrong in this case?

Hi Edward,
I figured the extreme slowness issue was due to "RSA Authentication Agent Offline Local" Service.
Once I stopped it and tested the log in, all the authenticated attempts got successful.
We set two authentications (RSA token, and then Windows password separate) to access to a server with RSA Agent installed, is this service can be disabled? What issue(s) would be happened if it is disabled?
Thanks,
Kris

Download the newest windows agent today (Jan 11, 2019). You can upgrade 7.4.0.40 with this.
It is version 7.4.2.[122] and has improvements and some optimization that 7.4.0.40 does not have, and should be what you test with.

Thanks Edward for the reply.
Does it mean that the issue I experienced is a known issue with the 7.4.0.40 version?
