RSA Authentication Manager with VMware Identity Manager!! Urgent help!!!!

Hi guys

Urgent help!!!!

Our organization is planning for VMware App.virtualization and integrate RSA AM with it for two factor authentication.

My AM version is  8.1 P03

The agent has been created and the configuration is done well. But when i try to authenticate from VM idm it says "

Your username or password is incorrect

At the same time, when we try it 2 or 3 times the authentication becomes successful and we can see on the activity on

AM monitor.

When the i get the error i cannot get any logs on AM Activity monitor. In our network there is nothing between these devices.

Any suggested solution???

Hello Hashik,

Thanks for your detailed problem description. As long as we are getting successful authentication on the server that means that the agent configuration is most probably done without any problems.

In this situation we have one of 2 options:

1) We have a network device that is blocking the communication intermittently, and you already confirmed that there is no device.

2) That the agent we are using has more than one network interface and it is using a different interface each time it is communicating to the RSA Authentication Manager.

So we will need to perform the below in order to know where is the problem exactly:

1) Perform a tcpdump on RSA Authentication Manager to confirm the network connectivity and the IP coming from the agent.

2) We can perform IP override on the agent side in order to ensure that the agent is using the correct interface in communication with RSA Authentication Manager.

So kindly check and advise us back if there is any assistance needed from our side.

Thanks for your quick response. I will check as you said. I would like to know that if the current version I am running on supports Vm idm. AM version( 8.1 P03)
