RSA Authenticator not showing

Jump to solution

We've used the RSA SecurID software token for years now, but I have started migrating users to the RSA Authenticator app from the Microsoft Store. When attempting to help a remote user, using remote access software (TeamViewer in this case), the app basically just shows as a black box. I am not able to interact with the app as I cannot see it. My thought is that this is by design for security? Or is it a condition of Microsoft Store apps?

Hello @MATTVAUGHAN ,

The behavior you are seeing with the screen of the RSA Authenticator/SecurID app being blacked out when an end user "shares their screen" is expected and by design for security purposes. The same behavior can be observed if you try to use "Print Screen" or another method to try to copy the screen of the app.

I figured as much. That does present a problem with regards to support for end users.
