RSA SecureID SDK and documentation access ?

Hi,

WRT PowerBroker using RSA SecureID for 2 factor authenticated server access.

I need to understand what is involved in automating the login process to these servers requiring 2 factor authentication.

From what I've read, RSA have an SDK (Java) which can be used to generate the soft SecureID required to complete the 2 factor authentication.

Unfortunately I am unauthorised to access the SDK or it's documentation.

How do I obtain the documentation in the first place, and if this is the correct solution, how do I obtain access to the SDK ?

Thanks in advance.

Paul.

Paul Wilkinson‌,

Since your question relates to the RSA Authentication Manager SDK, I've moved your post to the RSA SecurID Suite" data-type="space‌ product space.

There are three different SDKs for Authentication Manager:

RSA SecurID Authentication Agent SDK 8.6RSA SecurID Mobile Authentication SDKs and the

The RSA Authentication Manager 8.2 SDK, which is on Download Central.  For steps to download, please see 000034558 - How to download RSA Authentication Manager 8.x full kits from RSA Link.

As for the access issue, it looks like when you registered for RSA Link, you didn't select the option of I am an RSA Customer or Partner, which requires a license or contract number when you enroll.

To correct this go back to https://enroll.rsasecurity.com and re-register, this time selecting I am an RSA Customer or Partner.  The next time you login after that you will be added to the proper group and will be able to access the downloads.

Erica

Thank you very much Erica.

I didn't choose customer or partner because I am neither.

At this stage, without at least access to the documentation, I don't know whether we need to be a partner or not.

Which of the SDK's would we need to use in order to generate the SecureID token requested through Power Broker (this is not a mobile app) ?

Can I gain access to the documentation and/or SDK without becoming a partner ?

What is involved in joining your partner program ?

Best regards,

Paul.

Access to Download Central, where the Authentication Manager SDK is stored, is an order-based system.  You would need to provide a license or serial number when registering for RSA Link in order to download those files.

Thanks Erica.

Is it possible to obtain the Authentication Manager SDK documentation separately to the SDK itself ?

I'd like to establish the scope of the task before using the order-based system to obtain the SDK.

Paul Wilkinson‌,

Currently the RSA Authentication Manager 8.2 SDK is only on Download Central.  As I mentioned, you need to supply a contract or serial to access the download.

The RSA Authentication Manager 8.1 SDK is available on RSA Link directly.  There are changes between 8.1 and 8.2, but it will at least get you started.

There is a project in place to put the RSA Authentication Manager 8.2 SDK on RSA Link but that will not be for another few weeks.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Erica

Thanks once again Erica.

Your suggestion that RSA Authentication Manager 8.1 SDK would get me started would be ideal, unfortunately I get an 'unauthorised' message when I follow the 8.1 SDK link you've provided.

I'd really appreciate any help you can provide to enable me to gain access, even if just to the 8.1 documentation.

Thanks and regards,

Paul.

Hi Erica,

I still get 'unauthorised' when attempting to access the 8.1 link you provided, any update on how I can gain access ?

My requirement to establish feasibility and effort required is becoming urgent now, so any help you can provide would be most welcome.

My requirements are to gain access the the SecureID SDK that would allow me to write Java code to generate SecureID soft tokens, failing that I need access to the SDK documentation.

Thanks and regards,

Paul.
