RSA SecurID Access - My Page - Invalid QR code

Jump to solution

I'm testing the new "My Page" functionality in the RSA Cloud service to register devices with the RSA SecurID Authenticate app. I've set it up my page correctly and a test user can authenticate to login to the service using username and password.

When prompted I attempt to register a device using the presented QR code, every time I get the error "invalid QR code" in the RSA Authenticate app (I've permitted use of my camera and am using version 2.0 of the app on Apple iOS). If I manually enter the company id, username and registration code which is presented below the QR code it successfully registers the device so the user is ok, there seems to be something wrong with the generated QR code or perhaps my browser settings displaying the QR code correctly, any ideas?

Hi Alex - is the top level domain of your email address > 4 characters by chance?

If so, this is a known issue that will be fixed in the next release of the Authenticate App later this month.

If not, I would recommend opening a support case so that we can investigate further.

Thanks,

Ted

alex fray‌,

I've moved your question to the RSA SecurID Access" data-type="space space where it will be seen by the product's support engineers, other customers and partners.  Please bookmark this page and use it when you have product-specific questions.

Alternatively, from the RSA Customer Support" data-type="space page, click on Ask A Question on the blue navigation bar and choose Ask A Product Related Question.  From there, scroll to RSA SecurID Access" data-type="space and click Ask A Question.  That way your question will appear in the correct space.

Regards,

Erica

Thanks for the quick response Ted. Yes our email TLD is 5 characters in length so that seems to fit the known issue. I'll wait for the next Authenticate app release before testing further. Thanks again.
