RSA SecurID Software Token Application
RSA SecurID Software Token Application compatibility with Windows 10 64 bit
Hi Everyone,
Can you please help what's the compatible SecurID token application for Windows 10 64 bit? I've tried to download the latest version but when I imported the token, it said "Device intended for this token is not supported".
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Mathew

That message might indicate the device serial number does not match.
Here is an actual working RSA token, (of course, it will only authenticate in my lab)
Extract it from the zip.
No password, no device serial number, SDTID file format. Just put on the
windows machine and double-click to install it.
See if you can install it. It should install on any Windows RSA Software Token app.

The RSA SecurID Software Token for Microsoft Windows is 64-bit Windows 10 compatible (see RSA SecurID Software Token 5.0 for Microsoft Windows Technical Specifications). Download it from https://community.rsa.com/community/products/securid/software-token-windows/downloads.
Is that the version you have installed?

Matthew,
To summarize what Erica and Ed have put forward, you install the token app for Windows on Win10 and that is supported and should work, then from the Token Application on Win10 you import a token that you distributed in the Security Console, just make sure you used a Software token profile that did not have the wrong Device ID, which Ed said could cause the import failure, or possibly something else like the software token profile was for a Windows Phone instead of for a Windows Desktop.
I've attached a PowerPoint on Soft tokens for reference

Hi Edward,
Thanks for your response. I've tried importing the token you've provided and it worked. Maybe the problem is the token itself.
How can I attach a file here so I can show you the sample token for you to check?

Mathew James

For security reasons, please do n ot attach your token seed record to a post on RSA Link. If you have questions on why a specific token is not working, please https://community.rsa.com/docs/DOC-1294 and open a case so you can work with an engineer on your issue.
Regards,
Erica
