RSA Upgrade 8.4 Patch 7 No Web Tier Patch
There is no Web Tier patch for 8.4.7. Do I need to delete the existing Web Tier and then re-create and deploy a new package after patching the primary and replica servers or just patch the servers and leave the Web Tier as is.

Hi Vito,
Once you apply the 8.4.0.7.0 update to the AM Server you will find that there is an 'update' button next to the Web Tier record in the Operations Console.
Operations Console -> Deployment Configuration -> Web Tier Deployments -> Manage Existing
Click the update button and allow the update to be pushed out to the Web Tier.
There is no need to delete and re-deploy the Web Tier.
Once the update has been pushed out, you will see the 8.4.0.7 version information reflected.

Thank you for the answer to this question. I am curious though, why does the read me file state that a re-install is required for this patch?

The 8.4.0.7.0 patch readme mentions web tier reinstalls only in the descriptions for earlier patches 1-6 that are included inside 8.4.0.7.0.
If you are running AM 8.4.0.6.0,
and also have the latest web tier installed from the 8.4.0.6.0 web tier installer,
then upgrading AM to 8.4.0.7.0 requires no reinstall of web tier.

Mr. Davis,
I have attached a screen shot to help illustrate my confusion. I do greatly appreciate you responding to my comment so fast. Maybe I am just misunderstanding the wording, but to me this says patch 4 -7 and onwards would require an install. Please don't get me wrong, I am happy I don't need to re-install the web tier this time. Just looking for some clarification.

In an AM patch readme, will be a specific statement about 'if there a new corresponding web tier install that matches this patch' or some such statement.
In the 8.4.0.7.0, no mention. In the 8.4.0.6.0 patch readme [as an example], multiple mentions:
and in the 'Next Steps"
So, for any AM patch readme, read the 'Before you begin' and 'Next Steps' to see if there is a new web tier install to go with this patch, or if not, then it will be a 'button press in the operations console' to update web tier. [It has been roughly 50/50 with AM patches, some don't need a new web tier installer, some do.]
