Yes Ricardo, as Hussein pointed out, SAE is not a version or piece of Auth Manager, it is it's own product, I believe the latest version is SAE 2.8.1.  I would describe this product as kind of an API version of Auth Manager 6.1, so there is much java development of your interface.  I heard it was designed to scale to greater than 1 million token users but remain lightning fast.  I've only heard of one or two customers, and the typical problems are that this product does not have some of the distribution features for tokens that you see in AM 8.x.

This is not for the typical AM customer, but for a customer who needs to develop their own custom version 2FA with RSA tokens

Hello Ricardo,

If you mean SecurID Authentication Engine, unfortunately it is not supported on RSA Authentication Manager 8.2.

So kindly check and advise us back if there is any assistance needed from our side.

Best Regards,

Hi Ricardo - What is the connection between SAE and AM in your scenario?  Wouldn't customer use one or the other (not both)?

Thanks Ted and Jay for the clarification. will there be an update to SAE to take into account the codes changes 8.2 brings?

In effect you are asking if there will an update to SAE to make it have some of the new features in AM 8.2.  Since they did not do it at AM 7.1, AM 8.0, and AM 8.1 I'm going to say it's a good bet they won't do it for AM 8.2 either 😉
