SecurID Access Identity Source
Hi,
One of our customers are looking to implement SecurID Access to use Dropbox. They are using O365 for email,
and their local active directory does not sync with the Azure. Indeed, the Azure active directory is not yet configured.
They are looking to setup Azure some time in the new year and eventually replace their local AD with Azure.
Can Access SecurID be configured with Azure as an Identity Source rather than local AD?
Thanks,
Mukti

Hi Mukti - I don't think this is currently achievable since we only support LDAP while according to What is Azure Active Directory "It's possible to query Azure AD, but instead of using LDAP you must use a REST API called AD Graph API."
I've asked the SID Access product manager if they could add any additional information to this discussion.

Actually we have found information about configuring Azure AD to use secure LDAP so this may in fact be doable.
Will let you know our test results when complete.

Hi Ted,
Thanks for replying. So I understand that both the local AD and the Azure AD will be configured as an Identity Source in the Identity Router (until the complete shift to Azure AD happens) and then the users in both of the sources will be able to SSO to Dropbox?
Thanks,
Mukti

Correct, multiple identity sources can be used as identity/attribute stores for a single application. AD and LDAP: So Happy Together discusses this concept.
