Support for Google IDP

Does the RSA SecurID Access Cloud Authenticator Service support Google as an IDP provider? All employees at our company have two accounts - a Google account and an internal AD account.

We use a number of SaaS based applications such as Salesforce, Concur, LucidChart and ServiceNow. Some of these applications are set to authenticate through Google.

So when we use the RSA cloud service for SSO, we would like to be able to use either AD or Google based on the application.

I know Okta can do this.

Thanks.

Hi Vijay - sorry no we do not support social login use cases.  B2C is not a focus of our Cloud Authentication Service at this time.

Thanks,

Ted

Hi Ted,

This is not B2C. We are a large multi-national Google shop. We are using

Google as an IDP provider along with Active Directory.

The SaaS apps such ServiceNow support Google to authenticate which is what

we use.

Vijay,

SecurID Access does support external SAML authentication. Based on this KB article from Google Set up your own custom SAML application - G Suite Administrator Help , it does appear that Google Apps can act as a SAML IDP. I believe the confusion came from the fact that Google also supports OAUTH authentication in it's consumer accounts. For example, many sites allow you to sign in using your Google or Facebook account.

As long as you are referring to using your GApps as a SAML IDP into the SecurID Access Application portal, then the answer is yes, this can be done. The documentation for using a third party SAML IDP for the SecurID Access portal can be found here. https://community.rsa.com/docs/DOC-53980

Regards,
