Testing RSA SecurID infrastructure failover

Jump to solution

Hi,

I am looking for a test plan to test failover of SecurID setup. The setup has 2 clusters with IDR, RSAAM and CAS integration.  The goal is to test the failover and fail-back of the systems and validate the setup.  Any suggestions and recommendations is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If your appliances  are hosted in a virtual environment, you can simply disable the vNIC on the appliance which you would like to test the failover on, which then authentication should be redirected to the live appliance which the protected application is seeing.

Yes, it will make the appliance live again.

Are you looking to test the token failover feature?

I am looking to test failover between the IDRs as well as the Auth managers when end users authenticate.

Got it! So re-enabling the vNic would restore the active role, right?
