Unable to Resolve the IP , even though mentioned the DNS server IP address in operations console
In operations Console , I have mentioned :-
1. DNS server .
2. mentioned DNS Search Domain: say xyz.mydomain.com
Now when I go to security console and try to add an authentication agent. I am not able to do so.
3. I am entering a host name with same domain as above , abc.mydomain.com
4. I click "Resolve IP"
It gives "unknown"
Please suggest any possible resolution.

Before resorting to the Hosts file, you should see if nslookup can resolve the name from the primary. In the Operations Console, open the Administration > Network Tools menu, then select NSLookup as the command. Enter the hostname in the appropriate textbox and click the "Run Command" button. You will see the results in the "Output" section at the bottom. If nslookup doesn't resolve the name, check with your DNS administrator to make sure the name and IP are entered correctly into DNS. Make sure you remove or comment out the host from the Hosts file before testing or you'll just get the local copy.
