Unable to rollback AM 8.3 P01
Hi Folks !
I'm currently trying to rollback a patch applied on an AM 8.3 appliance, but doing this doesn't seem to be an option...
Any clue on this ?
Kind Regards
David

No do not attempt to fudge it, that is not tested and could render the system to a problematic state and may disable some functionality now, or some functions later. Best to deal with it at its current level, or rebuild from a base image and patch up again. If you remove 8.3.0.2.0, there will still be a patchmanifest.xml file on the system with '8.3.0.2.0' and rollback true referenced, but the system is not in a state where a rollback can be done.

I've moved your question to the RSA SecurID Access space where it will be seen by the product's support engineers, other customers and partners. Please bookmark this page and use it when you have product-specific questions.
Alternatively, from the RSA Customer Support page, click on Ask A Question on the blue navigation bar and choose Ask A Product Related Question. From there, scroll to RSA SecurID Access and click Ask A Question. That way your question will appear in the correct space.

Erica

As written in the screenshot you provided, the patch cannot be rolled back.
Action. Displays the Roll Back Update button or the message “Cannot be rolled back.”
To roll back the last update that was applied, click Roll Back Update.
>>Only a reversible update can be rolled back. <<
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now I just started to install 8.3.0.1.0, and the password screen is telling me it is reversible:
After install the actual result is: (will post results in 15 minutes)
OK, results are in: Mine can be reversed.
So I am wondering why yours cannot be rolled back... and all I can assume is you once had something later than 8.3.0.1.0 on it (8.3.0.2.0 ???) and rolled that one back perhaps ?
If you install a patch on top of another patch, all prior patches that were reversible, become non-reversible, and only the most recent patch is reversible (if the PatchManifest.xml in the last patch .iso says true <Reversible>true</Reversible>)
Example: here I can only rollback the last one installed, 8.3.0.5.0

Hi Edward,
Thanks for your testings & feedback !
You're just pointing the issue ! 🙂
I was in P2, was done for testing by the previous RSA guy here, but I wanna rollback my QA environment as it's not the same as Production.
So, I first rolled back from P2 to P1, and now I'm stuck there...
Do you think I could edit the PatchManifest.xml file and set "Reversible to "true" ? or will it brake stuffs in RSA ?
Kind Regards,
David
