Unix Shares for remote backup

Page 383 of the 8.1 Administrator Guide (

) states that you can select a NFS (Network File System) Shared Folder.

Can this be on an AIX LPAR? The previous step documents to Select Windows

Shared Folder

Hello David,

It was not tested before from our side, but I cannot see anything that will not make it happen. So please proceed with the normal configuration from the operations console in order to NFS mount it. And please make sure that you are typing the correct NFS shared folder path and make sure of the network connectivity as well.

If you faced any issues during that procedure, I think it will be best if you can open a support ticket so we can troubleshoot the matter further.

Please also check these KBA 000026660 and 000029320, as they will help you during the configuration and troubleshooting NFS backup.

So kindly check and advise us back if there is any assistance needed from our side.
