Updating existing PAM agents after upgrade of Authentication Manager to 8.3?

Since the RSA Ace server has been upgraded to 8.3 does this necessitate the PAM agents for the linux hosts having to be upgraded please

Existing older agents can remain in place and will still work as you upgrade the Authentication Manager server versions. 

Agents using UDP for authentication will continue to work as normal.

The only real thing to worry about is if you use TCP agents, or API connections that use certificates with 1024 bit keys, and plan to upgrade to 8.4.

If upgrading to 8.4, all TCP connections using certificates will require 2048 bit keys, whereas prior to 8.4, 2048 was not forced.

8.3 does not force 2048, it will allow 1024 and 2048.

Hi Edward Davis,

We are using our Customised PAM agent as per our organisation but we somehow found that we use PAM agent version 7.0.

Now we are planning to upgrade our RSA version to 8.6. Can you please let me know whether we need to upgrade PAM agent 7.0 to higher version ?
If yes can you please let me know how to do that since we use customised agent(this was installed long ago) hence we are not sure about path or installation.
