Best Practices for upgrading from 7.1 to 7.2
Customer is not able to do an in-place upgrade from 7.1 to 7.2 and is looking for best practices for upgrading.
7.2 requires a Linux OS upgrade. What is the recommended order for the OS upgrade? Should OS get upgraded before IG&L gets upgraded to 7.2?

If the OS is incompatible (i.e. not RHEL 7.2+ or SUSE 12 SP4) then
- Take a full backup of the database using the export utility.
- Copy the encryption keys
- Reimage hardware or create a new Virtual machine with supported OS.
- Install RSA IGL 7.2
- Import encryption keys
- Import database.
- Run migration
Alternatively, you can create another VM in parallel, have the 7.2 installed and import the database.

IG&L 7.1.1 to 7.2.0
RHEL 6u10 to 7.2
Considering the alternative approach, "you can create another VM in parallel, have the 7.2 installed and import the database."
Once the new Linux server is set up, and customer has installed RSA IGL 7.2, imported database and run migration,
customer is asking what is the best practices to swap IP and Host between the old Linux server and new Linux server and its impact on the RSA IGL application?
For SuSE, we have the modifyhostname, modifynetworksettings, etc.

Has anyone been able to successfully upgrade RHEL from 6 to 7 with an in place upgrade, specifically with an oracle server installed on the same Vm?
