Cleanup on Completion
Under the general process properties of a workflow in 7.2 there is a checkbox for "Cleanup on Completion". Can anyone provide an explanation for what actions are taken if this is checked and when it should or shouldn't be used?
I haven't been able to find a reference to it in the documentation.

Engineering has been working to reduce the database impact of workflows with each release. This change is part of ongoing efforts in that regard.
Previously, we retained the workflow user data and cleaned it up periodically after a month. Now with this option, you can clean the workflow data after the workflow is completed as it's not deemed necessary. This is enabled by default, so the only option is to disable this. This might be done during development for example to troubleshoot workflow design.
The cleanup of the workflow User Data happens when "Job" moves to a completed state. It mostly removes data from the WP_USER_DATA table. The WP_USER_DATA table contains the user data that IG&L accumulates when running a workflow.
