Upgrade path question

Hi,

We are currently running IG&L 7.1.1 patch 5 and want to move to 7.2 patch 1.

Just want confirmation that the upgrade path will be upgrade to 7.2 then apply patch 1 on it and that you can't go directly to 7.2 patch 1 ?

The IGL 7.2 full installation package (released in Feb 2020) has been replaced with IGL 7.2 P01 full installation package (release in April 2020) on RSA Link/Download Server. In your scenario, you would go directly to 7.2 Patch 1.

Many thanks for the update. I'm looking at the 7.2_configuring_wildfly_clustering guide and am having difficulty distinguishing between if I need to follow Chapter 6 or Chapter 7 to upgrade from 7.1.1 patch 5 to 7.2 patch 1 ? Just wondering if you can shed any light on it.

Oh and the cluster is running on a virtual appliance.

You would follow Chapter 6 to upgrade the cluster from 7.1.1 to 7.2.0 P01 (the full installation package that replaced 7.2.0 GA).  Chapter 7 refers to applying a patch only (e.g., going to 7.2.0 P02 AFTER you have upgraded to 7.2.0 P01).

Is this also applicable for the V 7.2 ova or does the ova end you up with 7.2 GA?

Yes, applicable to the Virtual Application as well; an OVA for 7.2.0 P01 was provided.
