Removing monitored devices

I run into situations where Envision reaches the maximum number of device licenses. Since some of the devices that I have listed as monitored no longer exist I need to removed them. However, Envision does not have a automatically way of doing it and removing 200 or 300 hundred of devices every 60 to 90 days takes a long time and is impractical.

I would like to implemente the following process to quickly remove devices no longer reporting (decommissioned, removed, etc).

1. from the DS run the command lsdata -directory > e:\devices.txt

2. extract the IP address of those devices onto a text file.

3. from the DS run the startISQL.cmd to start the SQL

4. Run the following command: Delete from device_list WHERE paddr IN ('XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX', 'XXX,XXX,XXX,XXX)

Note: The device_list is that table that shows all devices (Active, Disabled, etc)

XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX - is the IP address of each device extracted from the list.

Let me know what do you think.
