Community - please note your interest in this feature with a note if you like it.

ESE-466 - If you wish to request this as well from RSA support.

Due to the number of scheduled reports we have setup for our customers and the significant duplication of effort that happens for each one, we would like a feature to copy/duplicate a scheduled report, similar to what is available in the Ad Hoc Reports section when performing a Copy.  It should bring you into the ability to edit the values, just like the Copy functionality in the Ad Hoc Reports section.

This would greatly reduce the administrative burden for our company by reducing a process with 30 keyboard/mouse actions to 15.  This halves the number of interactions on the process.  And these remaining actions vastly simplify the process and reduce the number of changed fields from 13 down to 3.  This greatly improves the ability to input and validate the new report configuration quickly.

We feel this feature would enable other customers to improve ROI by reducing the administrative burden of reporting with enVision.  It is also a logical addition to your product as customers’ usages grow.

Suggested Changes to “Manage Scheduled Reports” screen

  • Add a column named “Select” (or Selected) at the leftmost that has a checkbox for each row.
  • Add a button at the bottom of the window named Copy. (it would only be able to act properly if one report is selected however)
  • (Optional) Remove the Delete column and replace it with a single Delete button at the bottom of the window.
