Hi,

We are using following RSA jars :cryptoj.jar, cryptojce.jar, cryptojcommon.jar, jcm.jar

We have made sure RSA provider(com.rsa.jsafe.provider.JsafeJCE) is loaded at first position in Java security.

After running program I did verify the security provider loaded is "JsafeJCE"

So far so good, but when different JRE versions are used I do see different cipher suites used.

Here is the example:

JRE version

Cipher suite used

Protocol used

6

TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA

TLSv1

7

TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA

TLSv1.2

8

AES128-GCM-SHA256

TLSv1.2

Question:

-        Why do we see different cipher suites used for different JRE version, even when same RSA jars are used with different JRE's

-        Is there any way to verify if RSA's cipher suite is used here?

-        Is there any link between cipher suite & protocol version used?

Thanks,

Vijendra
