Is there a configuration that can be changed to increase the number of connections?
Kindly note that each ICAP server support the following
HTTP 1.1 POST Traffic
Internal tests using file sets with uniform file sizes from 1 to 512 KB suggest that an ICAP Server can process an average of 95 HTTP 1.1 POST requests per second.
These test results suggest that one ICAP Server can process about 5700 HTTP POSTs per minute and about 342,000 HTTP POSTs per hour.
HTTP 1.1 Response (GET) Traffic
Internal tests using uniform response sizes from 1 to 512 KB suggest that an ICAP Server can process an average of 60 HTTP 1.1 responses (GETs) per second, with up to 20 enabled policies. These test results suggest that one ICAP Server can process
about 3600 HTTP responses per minute and about 216,000 HTTP responses per hour.
If you are exceeding this amount of traffic you have to add a new ICAP server to your network, keeping in mind that a Network controller can manage up to 30 ICAP.
