Delays in request workflows activities

I'm experiencing problems in the management and execution of change request workflows.

In particular, when launching a change request (for example trying to give to an AD user rights to belong to a specific AD group) for each node of the workflow (e.g. Business Approval, Fulfillment phase) it takes a fix delay in execution, for example 6 hours to pass from the "Available" state of the node to the "Open" state, even if no action (neither manual nor automatic) is required.

When a node (e.g. Business Approval) needs to launch an associated workflow it takes 12 hours in order to have the related workflow "Available" and the related notification to the user in charge of taking action to be delivered.


I need to have no delay in launching associated workflows and in passing the control to approval and fulfillment phases.
