the version of our authentication manager will reach end of life this year. It's 7.x, and to renew the license, I need 8.x
Please go to https://knowledge.rsasecurity.com, Now, click My products in the new toolbar that is presented to the user.. this will show the registered products with RSA.
Next the RSA Authentication Manager or RSA SecurID Appliance product name click the Upgrade link.
By default the Software for version 8.1 radio button is selected, click Submit
or where you want to request an evaluation license select the License Request for Evaluation/Conversion License
Click Download Software to get redirected to Download Central.
Click the link RSA Authentication Manager 8.1 – Virtual Appliance and RSA Authentication Manager 8.1 – Hardware Appliance
So kindly check and advise us back if there is any assistance needed from our side.
There was a knowledge base article I wrote once on this, not sure you can find it on Link, but here it is:
17578 | Simple Migration from RSA Authentication Manager 7.1 to version 8.1 or higher
Applies To RSA Product Set: SecurID
RSA Product/Service Type: Authentication Manager
RSA Version/Condition: 7.1 SP4, 8.x
Deploy an AM 8.1 Primary with new name and IP if you want it on the Production network - we can change this to the AM 7.1 Primary name and IP address later
Do not deploy an AM 8.1 replica, you cannot simultaneously import data into the AM 8.1 Primary and expect it to replicate that same data.
Create migration package with AM 7.1 export utility, optionally include logs if you want to run reports in 8.1 for data from the last 30 days (default)
Import/Migrate the package file into AM 8.1 from the Operations Console
Shutdown AM 7.1 Primary - leave AM 7.1 replica up if you want users to still authenticate
Change the FQDN and IP of AM 8.1 to match old AM 7.1, from the AM 8.1 Operations console.
Open the Real Time Authentication Monitor on the AM 8.1 primary to verify it authenticates users
Stop at least the AM service on AM 7.1 Replica
Verify that your new AM 8.1 primary is authenticating
If necessary Uninstall your Trial license on AM 8.1 and import your Production license
Shutdown the AM 7.1 replica
Deploy your AM 8.1 replica
Alright -- almost ready to execute this. Thanks for the KB article and contents!
