I would like to enrich content of email templates with using html tags. How can i do that? As far as i see, content textbox ignores html tags. Because, After modifying that page, all html tags are disappeared.
That sounds like a bug to me. Please raise a ticket for that.
You can use the following temporary workaround.
1. Run the below query and commit changes.
update t_system_settings set value = 'ANYTHING_GOES' where parameter = 'AllowHtmlInFld_Email'
2. Restart server so that the setting takes effect.
3. Now, the email templates will allow all text as part of it without any sanitization.
The setting will be retained till the security settings are edited again from Admin->System->Security tab.
Under Admin->System->Security, having the below setting as shown should allow html as part of templates. I however remember hearing an issue with using html tags even after doing that. You can try with below setting. It would be a bug if it still does not work.
Some of html tags are working but some of not. For example, <table> tag is dissappeared even if html is allowed for templates.
Modified content like below
After saving, <table> related tags are disappeared.
Do you have any additional suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
