How do I change the hostname of a VM Appliance AM 8.2 (primary)...SUSE 11
You need to use AM utilities and consoles, don't try to change it in Linux, and you can follow instructions in Any AM 8.x Admin Guide which has an Appendix A: Changing the Instance Network Settings, with very good details under changine primary hostname and updating replica with new primary hostname.
It works great.
If you have replaced the RSA self-signed console Certificates with your own CA signed or Public CA signed Certs,, you would need to revert back to RSA's to do this, then request new replacement certs again. We need the FQDN bound to the Cert to appropriately identify any of our Authentication Manager devices
