Tokens are only extendable if
a) they originated from an 8.2 system
b) you purchase new tokens to have the old token inherit the new tokens expire date
---
-Upgrade to 8.2
-distribute all the tokens to the users again... and now, they are extendable
-install new tokens and match them to the old tokens (extend the old ones)
So, though you still will need to issue tokens to users one more time from an 8.2 system, that can be the last
time you need to do it.
Hi Amit
You must purchase new tokens. Software tokens in Authentication Manager 8.1 are not extendable.
You should upgrade the system to Authentication Manager 8.2 and then distribute the newly purchased tokens.
Those new tokens Distributed in 8.2 will then be extendable upon their expiration.
