The reporting engine in IMG appears quite limited in certain areas, namely the ability to create a report definition AND include variables in the query so that users running the report can provide relevant values at run time.
For example - a report that lists the request history for a given IMG userid that can be run by auditors and the internal control team against any valid user, according to their current information needs.
This would seem to be a fairly basic requirement but I just cannot see how it can be done. Am I missing something obvious here? Has anyone managed to do this? We do NOT want to allow or even force the likes auditors to edit reports, so how do we make reporting flexible and useful?
