May I know how to integrate VIA L&G 7.0.1 with SiteMinder as the SSO authentication provider? Our VIA is on Wildfly v8.2. Any steps or references would really help us a lot. Please do let me know if you need more information.
PFA - This might help !!
Thank you so much for the document. May I know if the same configuration works for both the cases where web server installed in the same VIA app server or in a separate server.
I think it should work for both cases.
Hi Yeswanthraj, Yeswanthraj Raja
Thanks for the step by step guide. It seems this document is to verify SSO behavior of L&G. In this case the apache web server will be used to work as SSO provider (as I can see the user id is hard coded in httpd conf file).
Please correct if my understanding is correct.
If we want to incorporate SSO with VIA (deployed in wildfly), could you please help us with any supporting doc?
I couldn't find a document for this !!
I will leave it open for someone to comment on this
Does this approach work for an appliance?
This should also work with an appliance.
Can you provide instructions for the Apache install? thank you!!
The use case you are looking for falls under the broader category of SSO Header Based authentication.
There are basic requirements that RSA IGL places for this to work.
So this will work irrespective of the fact whether the HTTP server or CA Site Minder is installed on the same server as RSA IGL or any other server. Just add the IP of such web access management agents to the SSO configurations.
RSA expects that Apache (Reverse Proxy) has been configured and tested before integrating the SSO authentication feature. Refer to vendor documentation on how to install and configure.
I suggest installing something like this Print Headers and make sure you are seeing the HTTP header you are expecting.
Integrating with Siteminder is new to me and having Apache installed as a requirement is another thing because at the moment we are using a hardware appliance and from what I've heard installing Apache is not supported by support.
I am interested in your first statement but finding it a bit difficult to put two and two together. please dive into more detail for a layman like me to understand.
