Is it possible to make Username case insensitive in the UI login form?
You can create a customerstrings.properties with following lines
Then hover to Admin - User Interface - select dropdown to "Customer Strings" and Upload "customerstrings.properties"
Thanks Apeksha Anand Shetty,
you suggestion works in the login screen but I have the same issue in the Forgot My Password screen. May you help also there?
In the same customerstrings.properties you can add below line or whatever string you like:
FORGOT_MY_PASSWORD=forgot my password
Upload the file again under Admin - User Interface - select dropdown to "Customer Strings" and Upload .
just to be sure may you confirm the customerstrings.properties force AVEKSA server to accept Username value, in both the Login and Forgot My Password identification screens, in case insensitive mode?
I'm asking because a side effect is that the labels changes from "Username" to "username" and from "Forgot My Password" to "forgot my password" but this is not my purpose. I don't want to change labels but to be able to fill username as, for example, GRUSCONI, grusconi, GRusconi, grUSCONI, etc.. and be able to login (in by the login screen) and to identity the user (in the Forgot My Password screen) in all the cases.
The suggestion I provided is to only change the Label names to different cases. I am not sure if we can make the username accept in any cases. Probably depends on the Authentication source set.
the best you could do is to collect the user_ids (or whatever attribute you map the auth source to) in all lowercase.
the IDC is of type Active Directory so, as far as I know, I can't change the case of the sAMAccountName during the collection.
Does any have solution for this?
