In 7.1, it says go to the RSA Security Console and click Access>Test Access
How do we do this in 8.2?
Okay, the best way to do that is from within the RSA Control Center on the agent machine. RSA Control Center--Advanced Tools---Test Authentication.
That 7.1 utility was removed in 8.x. It was only for testing whether or not an individual had access to a restricted agent and it was problematic at best. User ID was case sensitive if I recall and other issues. Are you testing restricted agents or just wanting to see if an agent can authenticate successfully?
Thanks Brian. We're basically just wanting to test authentication.
Many thanks Brian!
You're quite welcome. I generally advise customers to enable challenge AFTER they've done a successful test authentication...Prevents potential headaches that way.
That is good to know.
