Can you please clarify if SNMP v2 works with RSA AM 8.2 SP1?
RSA Auth Manager 8.x and up is SNMPv3 only. Gets and Traps.
If you turn it off then there is no SNMPv(any).
According to the documentation on Management Information Base Objects for SNMP for the Hardware Appliance, Authentication Manager supports hardware trap generation for SNMP v3. Authentication Manager does not support hardware trap generation through SNMPv1 or SNMPv2.
Thanks for the response.
Understand SNMPv1 or 2. is not supported for hardware trap generation.
What about virtual on VmWare?
If we enable Network Monitoring using SNMP v3 and fill in the Trap settings and then change to Off for Network Monitoring, does this means Network Monitoring is working for v2?
Or it is v3 or nothing at all?
Interested in using Trap for System Log events.
Also, Operating System Events.
Thanks for the confirmation.
