Is it possible to extend the software token lifetime in a programmatic way? If so, how?
Hi Glenn - yes, the Authentication Manager API includes the ExtendTokensCommand class for this purpose.
Thanks Ted. Where can I find information on the ExtendTokensCommand class as well as for others not included in the RSA SecurID Authentication API Developer's Guide?
The SDK components and API Javadoc are included on the Extras package associates with each Authentication Manager server release.
See How to download RSA Authentication Manager 8.x full kits and service packs from RSA Link to help you locate the appropriate Extras package.
Hey Ted, thanks for prompt response and additional information. In version of the AM API that ships with am-extras-220.127.116.11.0.zip, the following are the available Token Management Commands:
ClearPinsCommand, LinkTokensWithPrincipalsCommand, SetTokenPinTypeCommand, ListTokensByPrincipalCommand,
LookupTokenCommand and UpdateTokenCommand
According to the API Javadoc, none of these commands extends the token lifetime. Is there a new version of the AM APIs that contain the ExtendTokensCommand class? And/or is the command named/referenced differently?
I'm looking in the apidocs/index.html that shows:
JavaDoc for Authentication Manager (am-javadoc) 18.104.22.168.0 API
ExtendTokensCommand is in the All Classes list (lower left pane).
Thanks again Ted... I was looking at the older 22.214.171.124.0 version of the API's Javadocs.
