Windows Authentication to DB Server

My company's preferred method of accessing database servers is to take an account from our primary domain and give it permissions to the database server (as opposed to creating a logon account directly on the server).  When I try to run a collector query, I get a logon failed error.  I've checked and the ID and password work through SSMS, so that's not the issue.  Is there a trick to the formatting on the Database Connection page?

In the User Name field, I've tried just the service account name, domain\service account name, and name@domain
