I noticed when using a CT-KIP URL link with activation code, that the activation code length are not all the same.
What are the min, max activation code length?
I have seen 10 to 12 digits so far.
Thank you and regards,
You're correct. I ran some additional tests and the system codes to vary between 10 and 12 digits. They also vary depending on the target platform. The specific length of the activation code is not important; they are random identifiers that permit a token to initiate a CT-KIP exchange with the server.
Is there some problem you're encountering with different length activation codes?
The CT-KIP Activation Code can technically be up to 1000 characters long (as limited by the database). System generated codes are 11-characters. It is also possible to use the software token "Device Binding ID" as an activation code; these are 36 characters long.
Thanks for your reply.
You mentioned " System generated codes are 11-characters” but I have seen “system generated code” ranging from 10 to 12 digits.
I was wondering if it is normal and if there were a min. and max. digits code being generated by the system.
So, if the system generated code is not 11 digits, should I assume the activation code will failed?
Thanks again Piers,
We ran into an issue with a token that we had distributed that failed to import on a iPhone X. But we resolved it by redistributing the token again.
We were comparing the activation code between the first one and second we distributed and notice the difference between both system generated activation codes.
So by curiosity, I was wondering what is the min./max. digits code we should be expecting to see.
Thanks and regards,
