I'd like to find out what kind of customization is supported when using RSA IGL distributed as a virtual application (OVA/OVF). I'm especially interested in the following scenarios:
- Configuring multiple virtual application instances to use WildFly clustering
- Configuring the VM to integrate with enterprise authentication systems (i.e. AD)
- Configuring cron jobs to carry out monitoring tasks
- Connecting to networked storage to make files available for use by collectors
- Configuring LVM
I understand that the idea for these sorts of things is usually that you set it up and not touch it (i.e. it's a black box). Currently we use the software-only distribution to install IGL on our own, self-configured VMs. I'm wondering how different a virtual application would be.
