IMG 7.0.2 P03
Email Setting - Min Interval Between Email is already set to 1 sec
We notice that there is few minutes delay between time of email been created and time been sent out
how can we check what is causing this delay ?
Does anyone know in the Email -> Log tab, there is a column "Sent/Received Time",
Which is correct ?
A) This value is represent the time taken from IMG sent to SMTP server ?
B) This value represent the time taken from IMG sent the email recipient ?
If it is not A or B, then this time value is represent what value ?
To answer you question above, the column "Sent/Received Time" is the time taken by IMG to send to the SMTP server. What happens afterwards from SMTP to the actual mailbox of the user is out of our control.
However you want to look at ACM-83684. There seems to be a defect in the actual times being logged there, they are not acurate.
As for troubleshooting of slowness, I would recommend you try starting a packet capture on port SMTP port you use (probably 25) then test and email sending out. From the output you should be able to see:
I can't access ACM-83684, can u share more info on this ?
We are using IMG 7.0.2 P03, and i noticed that the email time being logged is not accurate.
ACM-83684 is an internal defect number (not sure if you have access there but ping me). They noticed that the email log table logs emails sent/received dates a few minutes in the future.
Hi Mostafa, do u know whether this defect, will come out a fix ?
