I keep getting:
An error occurred creating an ODBC connection for DSN: oratestaudit The trapped error is: Unable to create an ODBC connection. DSN: oratestaudit; username: audit_reader; reason: state: 60; error-code: 28040; description: [RSA][ODBC 20101 driver]ORA-28040: No matching authentication protocol
I've tried NwOdbcExample and doesn't give a different or more descriptive error.
SA version 10.6.4.2 therefore based on the document, driver R2ora27.so should be used.
All articles I found online indicate problems with incompatibility between the client and server and there is a workaround flag that can be set on Oracle side to overcome this.
Setting the SQLNET.ALLOWED_LOGON_VERSION = 11 in the DB side removes the restriction from the DB.
However after applying this, the issue persists.
