Hope this is the right place to post this. I can't associate a replica instance with our primary instance because they aren't the same version. Problem is, I'm just setting this up now, so there doesn't seem to be a way -even through ssh- to upgrade it to the same version. I have the 8.2 SP1 update and the 8.3 update..but how do I do that? Quick setup immediately exits upon deferral.
Thanks!
You must set up a replica using a base image that matches the first three digits of the primary version.
The 4th digit is a patch, the 3rd digit is a service pack.
Then after the replica is running you can install whatever patch to make it match the primary.
Here are the available base images that a replica can be quick-setup as,
and these must match the primary first three digits.
8.1.0.0.0 - 8.1 base
8.1.1.0.0 - hypervisor only 8.1 sp1
8.2.0.0.0 - 8.2
8.2.1.0.0 - 8.2 sp1
8.3.0.0.0 - 8.3
