On my RSA Appliance ( RSA Security Console) I need to change the PW for the Service account used. I am not finding it in this web interface.
RSA Authentiction Manager, v8.2 P 04
I found where it is and how to change the PW. Thanks for every one’s response.
Needed to log into the Security Console, look at users and search for the user, chang the password is an option and then it will automagically replicate to the secondary device in about 30-45.
The account passwords can be updated for users created in Internal database local to RSA as per below article - Edit a User
Also if an external Identity source user's password needs updating from RSA, then this needs a connection to the DC on SSL over LDAP.
if the Service account meaning is the one that you are referring to bind the RSA server to Domain controller to map as an external identity source ? If yes please follow steps from Article - Identity Source Properties and refer to section Directory Password.
Kindly also take note once the password is updated for the service account in question, it is best to restart the RSA AM services on all instances one by one.
We'll need some more details on the "Service account" to which you refer.
Is this an account your administrators created in RSA Authentication Manager to authenticate a service? The administrator that created the service account may have used a "Static Passcode" for authentication. This can be changed in the Identity > Users > Manage Existing... and selecting "Authentication Settings..." from the context menu.
The interface to change the Operating System user (i.e., "rsaadmin") account password is in the Operations Console.
