In our tool, the joiner rule is an attribute change rule and would trigger the joiner workflow in case any new user is detected.
We had to import the latest data of users in UAT HR staging database. While doing this process we always delete the joiner rule before importing which prevents the joiner process from triggering.
But this time some how I missed out removing the joiner rule and imported the data which caused the triggering of joiner process nearly for 9000 users and this lead to trigger of bulk email of joiner notification.
The request has completed but the emails are still going out as I am typing this. So could you please help me by sharing if there is a way to stop sending these emails now?
Goto Admin --> Email
Update these settings - hostname of the mail server--- enter some random value, email sending will fail
OR
Goto Admin --> Email
Update these settings - set it to disable 'Yes' or enter your email/test email to redirect all emails
