Hi good people,
This is not about a tech related item but rather a common topic in our industry...
Have you guys seen the this year’s magic quadrant from Gartner?
True that this shouldn’t be taken for gospel but our vendor doesn’t seem to get better recognition as they haven’t been included at all this time.
Unsure what is the cause of such regression during the last few years. RSA people, any comment?
Regards
Armel
RSA is 100% committed to our Identity Governance & Lifecycle (RSA IGL) solution offering and as with each year, Gartner reviews and adjusts their inclusion criteria for Magic Quadrants as markets change. Unfortunately, as a result of these adjustments, the mix of vendors in any Magic Quadrant may change over time and as Gartner states:
“A vendor’s appearance in a Magic Quadrant one year and not the next does not necessarily indicate that we have changed our opinion of that vendor. It may be a reflection of a change in the market and, therefore, changed evaluation criteria, or of a change of focus by that vendor.”
While there were four vendors, including RSA, that did fulfill all of the technical inclusion criteria of this Magic Quadrant, exclusions from this year’s report was because they did not meet the minimum revenue goals, specifically the requirement for having added 50 new clients (“net new logos”) within the 2018 fiscal year. AlertEnterprise, Core Security and Microsoft were also not included in this year’s Magic Quadrant.
Our focus remains resilient, the RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle solution undeniably meets all the technical inclusion requirements and possess the required critical capabilities that organizations require to continue address their governance requirements while reducing access risks in the enterprise. Again, RSA is 100% committed to our Identity Governance and Lifecycle solution offering with continual improvements focused towards providing access assurance & risk reduction, delivering a great business user experience and making our solution easier to use.
As we are continuing to make investments in the product solution, we are also adding more information around RSA IGL happenings, including, but not limited to Monthly Community Technical Huddle Webinars and Monthly RSA IGL Newsletter Publications. These and a wealth of additional information around RSA IGL can be found on the RSA Link Identity Governance & Lifecycle forum. Please make sure that you are signing up to receive the monthly RSA IGL Newsletter and attending the monthly Webinars and other communications (note: we have received a lot of positive and excited feedback on the RSA IGL Roadmap Update and What’s Coming Next as presented at the September Webinar)!
We want to ensure that you understand that this report is not a reflection of our dedication and investment to you or our product solution. If there are questions or how to find more information about some of the aforementioned items, please reach out to your Account team and they can assist in bringing the right people into the conversation.
Thank you!
