How to add ad domain users to RSA?
I've moved your question to the RSA SecurID Access space where it will be seen by the product's support engineers, other customers and partners. Please bookmark this page and use it when you have product-specific questions.
Alternatively, from the RSA Customer Support page, click on Ask A Question on the blue navigation bar and choose Ask A Product Related Question. From there, scroll to RSA SecurID Access and click Ask A Question. That way your question will appear in the correct space.
I would check that the /etc/hosts file is configured to resolve "safenet2" as a hostname. Typically, this would be a Fully Qualified Host Name (FQHN). The hostname resolution configuration is controlled from the "Operations Console" (OC). From the OC, go to "Administration > Network > Hosts file" and check the entry for the "safenet2" host. Next to the "Test Connection" button, a more specific error message is shown: "Directory test:Test failed. Unable to establish a connection to the directory". From this we know that the process never reached the point to verify the administrative user and password.
You might try using the IP address as a test instead of the FQHN.
Also be sure the certificate you installed in the Operations Console Identity Source Certificates [required to use ldaps] also allows any other 3rd party ldap viewer to make a connection...such as ldapsearch.
Check the following document. It should have all the detailed steps.
