The purpose of this thread to capture the applications that you are planning to onboard into RSA IGL using the generic REST collectors.
I am surprised to see no one is planning to integrate with any REST API based applications.
Bumping the thread
You have to know we are everyone in an international crisis which cause severe damage to a lot of projects.
By the way, it's good to have the REST Collector but without a workflow behind, for my cases it's not possible to use it like that. We need to convert some data with their raw data.
I hope you and everyone is staying safe and healthy during these uncertain times!
So if I understand correctly, you want to be able to do some sort of data pre-processing on the data pulled in from the REST collector before the application starts processing it?
Applications are exposing their data through their API but as RAW data of their database.
Due to some differents applications accessing to the API, it's not always possible to have some transformation for only our case so it could be always great to be able to pre-processing data mainly for identities which sometimes not matching the prerequisite of the identities integration. (Exemple : Employeetype which is E in HR API must be External in RSA for being more readable for everyone. At the moment, it could be done only by a preprocessing script which generate a file for RSA)
As Mostafa already mentioned, hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.
The following applications are on my agenda to integrate with using the REST collector framework:
Great to have REST Collector as a feature but it would be great, there is as well Multi-App REST collector.
I'm also with the opinion that Pre-Processing has to be done on the data before being processed in the system.
