I'm planning to upgrade our current RSA console from 8.3 to 8.4 P13, and would like to know if I can get support on Sunday, 9-27-20 6:00am - 10:00am, in case something goes wrong. Thanks, David
You do not happen to use the RSA Self Service Portal, do you? If so, there is an issue that arises between RSA AM v8.3 --> v8.4 that requires a JAVA update on RSA SSP.
Just something to keep in mind.
The self-service portal is deployed in our environment, Eric. Do you know how the Java update is done
on the console?
There is a Java update that happens as part of the RSA Console (Authentication Manager) update. Our RSA Self Service Portal is run on separate LINUX servers and did not work after the AM upgrade to v8.4. When I updated Java on the RSA SSP LINUX servers, SSP worked again. The problem was how long it took to figure out that the SSP servers required a Java update in order to work with v8.4. This was the first AM update I ever did that required me to make a change on the SSP servers (and I did not see in the documentation that I would need to do so).
Okay, we are running the SSP natively from the console, Eric, so the 8.4 Java update on the console should be okay.
Also, do you know if I can get RSA support Sunday morning if I run into a problem during the upgrade? Thanks for
