Modify hostname issue

Hi Experts,

In the process of upgrading the RSA IGL environment from 7.0 to 7.2, we have installed the 7.2 P04 version on a new VM and have imported the AVDB schema to the new VM.

The old VM was then switched off, and the new VM was assigned the old VM's IP by the network team. At this point, the new VM was accessible through the browser with the old VM's IP (all good as expected)

We then performed the hostname change, using the modifyhostname.sh <new hostname> script located at /usr/bin directory. The script completed successfully and prompted for a server reboot. But after the server reboot, the oracle services were not starting.

We then uninstalled and re-installed the application (as per RSA support) but this ended up creating 2 AVDB instances on the server and the application came up with no data (looks like the AVDB with imported data from old server is in an unknown status).

Trying to understand what could have gone wrong during the hostname modification and also if there is a way to fix this issue.

This is a software installation with RSA supplied local DB
