Need to auto select account values in form B based on user selection in Form A

Hi,

I have a form which initially populates the users and when 2 3 or all users are selected and clicked on next, the AD accounts of those users should be visible.

But the account selection field is only visible when all the users are selected and if I select 1 or 2 or 3 users i.e. not all users then account selection field is empty. Also, I want the Account selection field to be automatically selected based on the users selected in the Form A of user selection.

Kindly suggest how to proceed on this, thankyou in advance.

There is not enough information here to provide a full answer but I think the form design is working correctly but your test data you are using results in the results you are reporting.

Hi Ian,

There is a form A, in which list of users are populated, my requirement is when I select particular users in next form AD account details of those users should be displayed and be selected automatically. There should be a checkbox beside the accounts info which is auto selected and if I want I can deselect if not required.

I hope this clears my doubt.

    It seems like you already have a some aspect of the form designed.
    
    Can you perhaps re-state you question in terms of what aspect of the product is not working as you desire or what is blocking you from moving forward?
    
    I as well do not understand what you are asking.
    
    Perhaps a screen shot or flow diagram of what you want?

  From what I understood there, you run the form > Select some users from the user selection table > you have a User Account Table that displays the accounts available for the selected users from the user selection page and what you want here is for all those accounts being displayed in the User Account Table to be auto selected instead of selecting them manually and you would be de-selecting accounts if they aren't needed accordingly.
  
  My question here is: what does this form do to those accounts at the end of the day? Does it reset those account's passwords?

    Hi Ahmed,
    
    Yes you understood it correctly, this form is basically used to extend AD account expiration date.
    
    There are checkboxes beside the AD account after the user selection page, I want the checkboxes should be automatically checked based on the user I select in previous form.

      So the specific use case is not really relevant here. This is a general question about form design.
      
      You want the "Select/Deselect All Items" check box (which currently defaults to disabled) for a form to be set programmatically to enabled?

        The simple answer to the simple part of this question is no. No you cannot set the default setting for Select All.
        
        Is there a trick that would make it look like this occurred? I don't know. Can you load the form but have the display disabled, then using JavaScript programmatically identify the line items in the form and change the de-selected status to selected for each item, then display the form back to the user? That level of coding is beyond my abilities.

        Exactly Ian. If there is a solution for this one, it would be utilizing the latest product feature of uploading JS files to automatically check those checkboxes for you on a form run (for this specifc form table and not for all IG&L tables).
        
        i believe you can revert to your regional Professional Services team to check if this is applicable or not.
