Hi Techies, I noticed one of my clients enVision Analysis disk storage is keep increasing 0.5GB per day, is there any impact on daily operations, please advise if any threshold value and also necessary action.
Do you mean the datastores (System Config > Directories) is increasing? If so, the limits can be seen in the same window and these can be adjusted as needed. The out of the box NIC alert will trigger after 75% but there is no impact on daily operations unless you are querying the whole IPDB
Hope this helps
Thanks for your above answer, I suspect client's Blue-coat is generating more logs.
please find below image for your ref,
Ah - I see now - the A-serv drive rather than the datastores.
That is high and concerning if it is increasing 500mb a day. As it is the A-serv I would hazard a guess that this is because of the reports and queries that are run and subsequently stored on the A-serv. If I'm right then these will be the following directories:
This is depending on what you are doing with the application
My advice would be to remove anything unwanted from these directories and review the settings in enVision to change the default behaviour on whether the queries/ reports are saved (pdf, csv) and their default save location. You may prefer to use a UNC path or you could run a script to remove files from these directories after x amount of days (for example).
Let me know if this helps.
