This guide describes Amazon Web Services (AWS) IAM integration with RSA using SAML 2.0. Use this information to determine which use case and integration type your deployment will employ.
Use Case
AWS IAM can be integrated with RSA using SAML My Page SSO. When integrated, users must authenticate with RSA to sign in to AWS IAM.
Integration Types
SSO integrations use SAML 2.0 or HFED technologies to direct users' web browsers to Cloud Access Service (CAS) for authentication. The integration provides Single Sign-On (SSO) using My Page.
- My Page provides SSO to AWS IAM users leveraging RSA self-service portal My Page. IdP-initiated SSO is supported.
Modern Cloud-hosted SSO with My Page replaces the existing SAML SSO support with IDR.
Note: RSA recommends using My Page instead of IDR SSO. At a to-be-determined future date, RSA will announce the end-of-life (EOL) date for the SAML SSO support with IDR. For more information, see Available Now: My Page SSO Enhancements.

It is assumed that the reader has both working knowledge of all products involved, and the ability to perform the tasks outlined in this section. Administrators should have access to the product documentation for all products to install the required components.
All RSA and AWS IAM components must be installed and working prior to the integration.
